About this Hybrid Strain
With a name like First Class Funk, one can assume this strain is going to be stinky and strong! Although this popular strain is grown by many cultivators, it was originally created by Compound Genetics from crossing GMO with Jet Fuel Gelato. As any cannabis aficionado knows, these parent strains are both all-Stars, both with a reputation for potency. Speaking of potency, we’ve seen this Indica leaning hybrid testing at 33% THC!
The funky aroma has a heavy gassy-garlic stench, with notes of mint amidst lemon-pepper spices. The taste is just as funky, loaded with flavors of garlic and gas. The saving grace is in the blessings of mint and the lemon-pepper aftertaste.
Experienced users can tell from the looks of First Class Funk that this is going to be one potent hybrid! The curled fern-green leaves clump into patterns that resemble artichokes, while fuzzy orange confetti-like pistils are abundantly scattered throughout. A heavy coat of sticky gold trichomes coats the buds, providing an aesthetically pleasing amber trim while helping to lend the buds a lime-green appearance.
Reviewers suggest novice users steer clear of this one. For seasoned veterans, they warn that you should clear your schedule for a few hours before trying First Class Funk. Although slightly Indica-dominant, users report a trippy and intense psychoactive euphoria, with some noting enhanced sensory input. One user reported being able to not just hear but see music, and was able to listen to some of their favorite songs, but hear them in a much different way.
Another reported an amazing intimate experience with their spouse, claiming “It literally felt like fireworks were going off inside my body.” First Class Funk also scored outstanding reviews in pain management. One user, who has trouble sitting or getting in a comfortable position reported sustained relief from this hybrid. They said that First Class Funk may be worth a try for users suffering from arthritis, chronic pain, cramps, and migraines.
